Back to School Workshops

A dynamic workshop for young people interested in music: Typically for students aged 15-17 and perfect for those about to start junior cert.

The day aims to introduce composing, performing and listening culminating in a performance for friends and family.

You will explore the musical elements involved in creating and harmonising simple tunes, experience listening and understanding music using drama and dance and improve your vocal performance with some technical tips.

This is an intensive day to get you started, please wear loose clothing and flat shoes.

The workshop will be taught by Elizabeth Drwal who is a singer, vocal coach and qualified teacher. Her teaching style is influenced by her aural training in the Kodaly (solfa) method. She develops rhythmic and expressive understanding of music through movement based training using the methods of Dalcroze and Laban. Primarily based in Wexford, Elizabeth continues to teach in Belfast and the United Kingdom.

This workshop will take place in the National Opera House, Wexford
